Mars and Its Gemstone, Coral

1. MARS is a masculine, dry, and fiery planet. It is said to be the commander-in-chief of the assembly of the nine planets.

FLAW OF CORAL

A coral having holes, according to the shastras, is harmful for the health of the one who wears it.
A coral having perforation gives pain in the body and migraine.
A coral having dents increases suffering and is bad for marital relationships.
A coral that is broken or has a cutting mark is harmful to peace, prosperity, and progeny
A coral having a crack on the surface or the body brings injuries from sharp-edged weapons.

HOW TO IDENTIFY REAL CORAL ?

1. If real coral is placed in a glass of cow’s milk, the color of the milk will appear pink or take on a red tinge. Imitation coral will not affect the whiteness of milk.

2. If a coral is dropped in blood, blood will thicken around it.

3. A synthetic coral has higher specific gravity than a real coral; it is heavier in weight.

4. An imitation coral produces a distinct sound when rubbed, which resembles the sound of glass being rubbed.

5. An imitation coral shows granules in its texture when examined under a magnifying glass.

HOW TO WEAR A CORAL-मूँगा RING ?

1. A coral should be bought on a Tuesday when moon is in Aries or Scorpio, when any of the four nakshatras mrigshira, Chitra, Anuradha, or Dhanishtha is present. The coral should be bought between sunrise and 11:00 A.M. and should be given to the jeweler within this time.

2. Before wearing the ring for the first time, immerse it in raw cow’s milk and wash it in Ganga-water, rainwater, spring water, or water kept in a copper pot for some time.

3. The yantra and the gemstone set in the ring should be worshiped by reciting the mantra of mars.
